"Dear Friends"
On September 17, 1787, twelve state delegations approved our Constitution and 39 of the 42 delegates present signed it, formally adjourning the Constitutional Convention. September 17th has now become known as Constitution Day. This year, we celebrate the courage, faith and vision of our founding fathers while recognizing that we are in the midst of a culture war which is threatening the very principles of freedom upon which the United States of America was founded.
The God our founding fathers served and the same God we are constitutionally free to worship openly is often challenged in our courts and shunned in our schools. Other freedoms are gradually being attacked. Some of our taxpayer funded schools have teachers with an agenda, and our children are not always taught a fair and balanced view of our country’s history, nor is much time, if any, devoted to the study of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
National Defending our Freedoms Association (NDFA) is an Ohio non-profit corporation. Our purpose is to help educate the public about our God given rights and retained freedoms and to empower our citizens to protect these rights and freedoms through proper understanding of the Constitution and its amendments.
We believe very strongly in our Constitution and Bill of Rights and how important it is to educate our citizens regarding the freedoms retained by the people. To be effective in our efforts, we must work to influence our educational system to accurately instruct students regarding the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We must teach the accurate meaning of our Constitution and Bill of Rights in order to educate future generations about the importance of what it means to live in a free America.
If our generation does nothing to educate the next generation, they will be ill-prepared to defend our rights and freedoms from the gradual and silent encroachments by those in power. We need to act now!
Please help us in our effort. If you are worried about the direction in which our country is headed, we invite you to join us in a movement to return the United States of America to the country that our founding fathers intended her to be.
Ronald Reagan once said, “I have seen the rise and fall of Nazi tyranny, the subsequent cold war and the nuclear nightmare that for fifty years haunted the dreams of children everywhere. During that time my generation defeated totalitarianism. As a result, your world is poised for better tomorrows. What will you do on your journey?”
Should you choose to stand with us in this fight, you will become a member of our organization joining an ever growing community working together to educate, promote and defend our American freedoms.
We urge you to act now while the “freedom to peaceably assemble” is still recognized by our Constitution.
Sincerely,
NATIONAL DEFENDING OUR FREEDOMS ASSOCIATION
